    Visual Art Workshop w/ Aimee Bellefleur

    Aimee Bellefleur of Painting Perfection is excited to be back for another year at the Amherstburg Art Crawl!

    This year, children are invited to take part in two fun-filled, one-hour hands-on painting experiences. Young artists will create their own masterpiece on canvas while following easy, step-by-step instruction in a welcoming and creative environment. No experience is necessary—just bring your imagination and get ready to paint!

    11:00am – Sandwich West Public School’s Madagascar Jr. Showcase

    11:20 am– Improv Workshop by Unlimited Productions

    Improv is a type of play-based drama where actors come up with characters, ideas, lines, and actions right on the spot. In this workshop, we will explore movement and character through quick-thinking drama games and small skits. Bring your imagination (we’ve got the props), and don’t be surprised if we get a little silly!

    11:00-12:00am – Tia McGraff at River Bookshop – Musician

    Award Winning Nashville Singer and Songwriter Tia McGraff and her husband Tommy Parham are returning to River Bookshop for a special Art Crawl Story Time.  Tia's love for performing has taken her all over North America to perform, write and record with artist such as Randy Bachman, Johnny Cash.

    Tia is also an accomplished children’s author, notably with her book, “Jake the Road Dawg.” Based on the life and adventures of her beloved pet, the book has inspired classrooms around the world, while supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Tia’s local Humane Society. Tia will perform and share her Road Dawg Stories and books with at from River Bookshop.

    12:00pm - Sandwich West Public School’s Madagascar Jr. Showcase

    12:20pm – Musical Theatre Workshop by Unlimited Productions

    Musical theatre combines singing, dancing, and acting to tell a story on the stage. In this workshop, we will take you through the song and choreography of “Together Forever,” from the musical theatre production of Madagascar - A Musical Adventure Jr. You will become the animals of the island of Madagascar as you “move it” along with Alex the Lion and his pals to discover just what it takes to put on a show.

    12:00-1:00pm -  Marcus Cutler – Illustrator

    At 1 PM , Local Author and Illustrator Marcus Cutler returns to River Bookshop for StoryTime. When Marcus Cutler was young, he liked to practice drawing by copying superhero comics, and  now he has written and published three books of his own, and illustrated dozens of other authors stories too.  Come hear some of his stories, such as The Crayon Stub, I Do Not Eat Children, and The Three Canadian Pigs and see Marcus create his characters and illustrations in person.

The Amherstburg Art Crawl returns in the summer of 2026, transforming the historic streets of downtown Amherstburg into a vibrant celebration of art, creativity, and community.

Over two days, visitors are invited to explore a self-guided journey through the downtown core, discovering local artists, live demonstrations, interactive art experiences, and opportunities to meet the creators behind the work.

From painting and photography to sculpture, mixed media, and live performances, the Art Crawl showcases the diverse talent of artists from across the region while inviting visitors to experience art in an open and welcoming setting.
